Choose your first plugins and set up your personal marketplace on systemprompt.io.

The Getting Started page is the first thing you see after creating your systemprompt.io account. It walks you through selecting your initial plugins so you have a working marketplace right away.

What You Will See

When you land on this page, you are greeted with a welcome banner and a grid of available plugins. Each plugin card shows:

  • Name -- the plugin's display name
  • Category badge -- the type of plugin (e.g., Marketing, Engineering, Sales)
  • Description -- a short summary of what the plugin does
  • Counts -- how many skills, agents, and connectors the plugin includes

This gives you enough information to decide which plugins match your workflow without needing to dig into details.

Selecting Your Plugins

You can select up to 3 plugins during this step. Click a plugin card to select it, and click again to deselect. The selection limit is enforced automatically -- once you have 3 selected, you will need to deselect one before choosing another.

There is no wrong choice here. The plugins you select are copied into your personal marketplace, and you can always add or remove plugins later from the Browse Plugins page.

Tips for Choosing

  • Pick plugins that match your primary role or department
  • Look at the skill and agent counts to gauge how much functionality each plugin provides
  • If you are unsure, start with a general-purpose plugin and explore specialized ones later

Adding Plugins to Your Marketplace

Once you have made your selections, click the Add to My Marketplace button. This forks the selected plugins into your workspace, meaning you get your own copy of each plugin along with all its skills, agents, and connectors.

After the plugins are added, you are redirected to your My Marketplace page where you can see everything that was just set up.

Browsing More Plugins

If none of the featured plugins catch your eye, or if you want to see the full catalog, click the Browse All Plugins link. This takes you to the complete plugin directory where you can search and filter through every available plugin.

What Happens Next

After completing this step, your marketplace is populated and ready to use. Your selected plugins and their skills are immediately available through the MCP server in Claude Desktop.
