Account Setup
Set up your systemprompt.io account, configure your profile, and manage your workspace settings.
On this page
This guide covers everything you need to configure after creating your systemprompt.io account. By the end, you will have a fully set up profile, a configured workspace, and an understanding of how to manage team access.
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Go to systemprompt.io and click Sign Up.
- Sign up using your email address or an existing Google or GitHub account.
- Verify your email address by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
- You will be redirected to the systemprompt.io dashboard.
After sign-up, your account is active and you have a personal workspace ready to use.
Step 2: Configure Your Profile
Your profile identifies you across the platform and to other team members.
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Select Profile Settings from the dropdown.
- Fill in the following fields:
| Field | Description | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Display name | The name shown to team members and in activity logs | Yes |
| Your primary contact email (set during registration) | Yes | |
| Avatar | A profile image uploaded from your computer | No |
| Bio | A short description of your role or focus area | No |
- Click Save Changes to update your profile.
Your display name appears in workspace activity feeds, skill authorship, and team member lists. Choose something your teammates will recognize.
Step 3: Set Up Your Workspace
A workspace is where your skills, agents, plugins, and content live. Every account starts with a default personal workspace.
Workspace Settings
- Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar of the dashboard.
- Select Workspace from the settings menu.
- Configure the following:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Workspace name | A descriptive name for your workspace (e.g., "Marketing Team" or "Dev Automation") |
| Description | A brief summary of what this workspace is used for |
| Default language | The primary language for AI-generated content |
| Timezone | Used for scheduling and activity timestamps |
- Click Save to apply your workspace settings.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is your central hub for managing everything in your workspace. Here is what you will find:
- Skills -- view, create, and manage the skills available to Claude
- Agents -- configure AI agents with specific instructions and capabilities
- Plugins -- install and manage plugins that extend agent functionality
- Content -- manage knowledge bases and resources your agents can access
- Analytics -- monitor usage, conversations, and performance metrics
- Settings -- workspace configuration, team management, and account preferences
Spend a few minutes exploring each section to familiarize yourself with the layout.
Step 4: Invite Team Members
If you are working with a team, invite members to collaborate in your workspace.
- Go to Settings > Team Members in the dashboard.
- Click Invite Member.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
- Select a role for the new member (see roles table below).
- Click Send Invitation.
The invited person will receive an email with a link to join your workspace. If they do not already have a systemprompt.io account, they will be prompted to create one.
Team Roles
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access. Can manage billing, delete the workspace, and manage all members. One owner per workspace. |
| Admin | Can create and edit skills, agents, and plugins. Can invite and remove members. Cannot delete the workspace or manage billing. |
| Editor | Can create and edit skills, agents, plugins, and content. Cannot manage team members or workspace settings. |
| Viewer | Read-only access to the workspace. Can view skills, agents, and analytics but cannot make changes. |
To change a member's role after they have joined:
- Go to Settings > Team Members.
- Find the member in the list.
- Click the role dropdown next to their name.
- Select the new role and confirm.
Removing Team Members
- Go to Settings > Team Members.
- Click the remove icon next to the member you want to remove.
- Confirm the removal. The member will lose access to the workspace immediately.
Removing a member does not delete any skills or content they created. Those items remain in the workspace.
Step 5: Connect to Claude
To start using your workspace with Claude, connect systemprompt.io to your preferred Claude surface. systemprompt.io supports three surfaces: Cowork (Claude Desktop), Claude Code, and claude.ai.
See the Connecting Claude to systemprompt.io guide for step-by-step instructions for each surface. For the fastest Cowork setup, see the Installation Guide.
Step 6: Review Organization Settings
If you are managing a team or business account, review these additional settings:
- Billing -- manage your subscription plan and payment method under Settings > Billing.
- Usage limits -- set spending caps or usage limits for your workspace to control costs.
- Audit log -- review a history of actions taken in your workspace under Settings > Audit Log. This includes skill creation, agent modifications, and team changes.
Troubleshooting
Invitation email not received
- Ask the invited person to check their spam or junk folder.
- Verify the email address is correct and try resending the invitation from Settings > Team Members.
- If using a corporate email, ensure that emails from systemprompt.io are not blocked by your organization's email filters.
Cannot access workspace settings
- Only Owner and Admin roles can access workspace settings. Ask your workspace owner to upgrade your role if you need access.
Profile changes not appearing
- Try refreshing the dashboard page. Profile updates should appear immediately, but cached pages may show old information briefly.
- Clear your browser cache if changes do not appear after a refresh.
Account locked or cannot sign in
- Use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in page to reset your password.
- If your account is locked due to too many failed attempts, wait 15 minutes and try again.
